Menas Köferli was born in Lucerne and grew up in Zurich. He completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter in 2018. This training helped him develop an affinity for craftsmanship and wood as a material. At the same time, he became involved in a youth theater association, and his interest in theater did not wane in the years that followed. 

After completing his basic training, he studied product and industrial design in Basel. Following his three-year degree, he began working as a stage design assistant at the Lucerne Theater. During his two years at the theater, he worked on numerous stage projects, starting with “Nachtschicht” (Night Shift), for which he designed a room. In the 2024/25 season, he designed the sets for “Lost Violet” and “Baden Gehen” (Going Swimming). In the summer of 2025, he left his job to become a freelance stage designer.
